Working in conjunction with the Independent and Private School Forum, a Canadian forum promoting best-practice in private school operation, this workshop will take you step-by-step through the accreditation process, and give you the information you need to take your school to the next level. School accreditation is available for all type of schools; small, large, faith-based, specific curriculum focussed, and core curricula.
Ronnie Miller, M.A., M.Ed., Ph.D.
Dr. Miller is the Executive Director of Professional Development Seminars, and the Independent and Private School Forum. Dr. Miller received his academic degrees in education from the University of Toronto, the Ontario Institute For Studies in Education (OISE). Dr. Miller has worked as a teacher, department head and a school principal, and is also a published author. Together with his team of school consultants, he supports private schools in meeting Ministry of Education regulations and preparing private schools for their respective inspections. Dr. Miller facilitates educational seminars all across Canada and in Northern New York State.
Ms. Eisa studied elementary education at Louisiana State University and graduated magna cum laude from Kaplan University. After working in an international school, Susie joined AdvancED in 2006 and currently serves as the Senior Director for the AdvancED Office of Global Services, supporting over 1,100 institutions in 70 countries with accreditation and continuous improvement.
Ms. Knipe has over thirty years experience in the education profession and is currently the Director of Global Services with AdvancED. Ms. Knipe has been a Bilingual/ESL instructor for elementary through high-school grades in three different states in the U.S. She served as a Teacher Trainer for the Cadre of Teacher Trainers with the Dallas Independent School District, and has worked with pre-entry university students in the English Language Institute at Oklahoma State University. After 25 years in public education, Kelly transitioned to the private sector to join AdvancED.
Dr. David Hurst
Dr. Hurst is responsible for the management of AdvancED’s Professional Services for the global sector. He also serves a key role in the development and continuous improvement of AdvancED’s accreditation process and services. He lives in Arizona. Prior to the creation of AdvancED, Dr. Hurst served as the Associate Executive Director for Professional Development of the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA- CASI). Before coming to NCA-CASI, he served on the educational administration faculty at Wichita State University in Wichita, Kansas. Dr. Hurst was a principal and a classroom teacher in Tennessee prior to coming to Wichita State.
