differentiated Instruction: Strategies For the K – 8 Classroom
January 30, 2015 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm$325
“At its most basic level, differentiation consists of the efforts of teachers to respond to variance among learners in the classroom. Whenever a teacher reaches out to an individual or small group, to vary his or her teaching to create the best learning experience possible, that teacher is differentiating instruction”. (Carol Ann Tomlinson)
In this informative and hands-on workshop, the presenters will provide the participants with a multitude of templates and strategies to be used in the classroom in a variety of situations. After discussing various strategies and templates, teachers will consider their own classrooms and together with the facilitators choose the appropriate strategies and templates to be used with the students.
Although we will not restrict registration, this hands-on workshops is designed primarily for teachers who have only limited experience with differentiated instruction.
