Aligning Assessment with Inquiry-Based Classrooms of the 21st Century – Vancouver
November 3, 2015 from 9:00 am - 2:00 pm345 CDN + GST
The ideal model for the 21st Century Classroom is embodied within problem-based and inquiry-based classrooms. The challenge is, the more we bring our teaching into alignment with 21st century ideals, the further we diverge from the pragmatics of 20th century assessment. In this workshop we will deconstruct the purposes of assessment and, from this, move to an assessment practice connected to 21st century teaching. Participants will leave with many pragmatic assessment tools that will allow them to not only differentiate their assessment, but also triangulate their assessment of individual students.
